Creators are on Fiverr’s website, not their own. This means that they are not in control of their own reviews. Basically, they are compelled to do amazing work to get the best possible feedback. As a result, the best people on Fiverr will rise to the top of the rankings and the worst will fall down.

You can take a chance on someone with less reviews and get a great discount. Users looking to outsource work on Fiverr rely on the rating and reviews which means the same people at the top are likely to get most of the work. This means that new freelancers have to sacrifice profit to get noticed. Just like at the start of the career of many professionals, they offer work for cheap so they can build a portfolio and build their brand.

Some of them might surprise you, they certainly surprised me when I first found them. If you use your imagination, the internet can be an amazing learning resource and a place to develop your business.

In the early days of Fiverr, freelancers were encouraged to offer their work (fiver calls them gigs) for 5 dollars of the equivalent for their countries. This was great for marketing and growth of the platform. The problem was that over time, freelancers with that had skills and services worth much more felt left out. It was hard to sell to a customer that expected to get work for hardly anything.

This isn’t a problem now because yes, while some people do still offer cheap services. Fiverr is known as a platform that we can use to find quality freelancers at various prices.

Fiverr gives you everything you need to choose a freelancer. Here are some things to look for;

Look at the reviews. Don't be too put off if there are 1 or 2 bad reviews. I'm sure you know it's impossible to please everyone, all of the time. Read the reviews and check to see if they are genuine and make sense, not just the competition trying to cause problems.

Look at the seller level. As we discussed earlier, this can be a bit tricky because some great talent just starting out can be found.  There are 4 seller levels; New Seller, Level One, Level Two and Top Rated Seller. Hover over the rating on each 'card' to see what they mean.

Look for the "Fiverr's choice" tag. This lets you know that Fiverr themselves recommend this freelancer for various reasons. It's an extra level of trust.

Use the arrows to on the seller's card to preview their work. This is a useful feature on the Fiverr website, it means you don't have to click to open each seller in a new tab. You can do some basic research on the search screen.
